Stories in Five Sentences

This page is about stories in five sentences with a specific theme each time

Theme: nightmare

After tossing and turning the whole night, she woke up from her nightmare, sweat beading down her panting face. She sighed in relief, thankful that the visions of being tossed around in her father's car were finally gone. She continued on with her day and walked down the stairs to the dining room. She greeted her parents with a smile almost immediately as she made her way into the kitchen, but her smile faded with the scene in front of her. Her mother and father were huddled together, sobbing loudly, as they clutched onto their favourite picture of her and crying for her to return.

Theme: Leaf

The lonely, orange leaf falls down onto the ground. It joined the immense pile of other leaves, all cluttered together but in their own glorious different shades of red and yellow. The orange leaf was the only of it's kind. But yet that little leaf reminded us all that a certain time had come and the colder weather was nearing.

Theme: Secret

He was always so quiet and reserved. I thought he it was just because he was shy, he was new and he used to be home schooled but after observing him for a while, those just seemed like cover ups. I always knew there was something more to that Joe Johnson. I mean even his name told me that he wasn't who he really said he was. Who this guy really was... I guess I'd never know because just as soon as he came, he left and his true self would always, no matter how curious I was, be a secret.

Theme: Colourless

It had always saddened Martha that she would never see the world everyone else sees.

"Look at how that sunset is so beautifully intricate in colours!"

"Can't you see you all the shades of grapefruit pink, oh and that baby blue and  how it just swirls together and makes that gorgeous lilac colour?"

Martha would nod and give a fake smile, saying, "Oh yes, it's very...beautiful."

She would look up to the sky, hoping to see something different and  nothing but the same, constant and dull dark grey, black and white would appear.

Theme: Forgive

Yes, he's made many, hurtful and terrible mistakes. He broke her heart without even knowing it but not because he's a heartless jerk, but because it was not his intention. You see, she never told him that she loved him. She never said that he was the greatest thing that ever happened to her, that he lit up her world everyday, that he was the only reason she got out of bed every single day with a smile no one could wipe off. She calls him a monster because of what he's done, and yet all he wants is for her to forgive.
